The events of the first Christmas were just the start of the extraordinary life of Jesus. The announcement by the angels, the dreams given to Joseph as well as the star that guided the wise men are just some of the unusual things that took place that should make us pay close attention to what Jesus did and said during his life on Earth. The more we read about Jesus’ teaching, miracles, death and resurrection the more questions we have about this astonishing person.
At the community carols before Christmas we asked the members of the local community what questions they had about Jesus. We had a great response and over the summer we are looking forward to be exploring the answers to the top five questions at our church services.
Did Jesus exist?
Is Jesus God?
Why did Jesus have to die?
Is Jesus alive?
Why does Jesus allow suffering?
The details of our services over the summer are on the back cover. Please note that we are only having three congregations each Sunday during January (8am and 10am at Dundas and 5.30pm for 6pm at Telopea). Do invite your friends or family to join us as we look at these questions about Jesus and discover the Bible’s answers.
