Thanks for visiting

Welcome. Thanks for visiting. Dundas Telopea Anglican Church is a wonderful church community to belong to. Our church is all about playing our part in God’s gracious work of bringing people to new life and continual growth in Christ. We long to see many people in our part of Sydney established as disciples of Jesus, as we pray and proclaim the gospel. And we love to see one another growing as followers of Jesus.

To do this we are passionate about pursuing five priorities together:

  1. Gathering as God’s People around God’s word.
  2. Passing on the gospel to the next generation.
  3. Stirring up our hearts for the lost.
  4. Changing to reach our neighbourhood.
  5. Helping people take the next step in their relationship with God.

It’s an exciting thing to be part of God’s work in the world, and we’d love you to be part of it too. Why not come and visit one of our church services or one of the many things happening during the week? Enjoy the site and we hope to see you sometime soon.

Christianity Explored

Got questions about Christianity? Ever wondered what it’s all about? Why not join us for our 7 week Christianity Explored course. It’s a great way to consider the person at the heart of it all: Jesus, and think about the big questions: ‘who is he?’, ‘why did he come?’ and ‘what does it mean to follow him?’ The course is free and all people from all backgrounds are welcome. Contact us for more information about Christianity Explored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is church?
A: As of 4th December 2016 we will be meeting at our temporary location in the hall of the junior school of Tara Anglican School for Girls, Masons Drive North Parramatta. This temporary location is during the time we build your new local Anglican church.

Click here for maps and directions.

Q: Are my kids welcome?
A: Of course. Children are welcome at all our services. Our Sunday 10:00am service has a fantastic kids church program which runs along side the service. There are also a variety of children’s activities during the week. All of our activities for children are run by trained and approved leaders.

Q: Weddings, Baptisms & Funerals?
A: Call the office if you’d like to make inquires regarding a wedding, baptism or funeral.

Q: What can I expect when I come to church?
A: We work hard to make church an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. We realise you may have been invited by a friend, or may be exploring Christianity and we welcome visitors who are just curious.

While each of our three Sunday services has its own ‘flavour’, there is much in common. Each runs for around 60-75 minutes and includes singing, a time of prayer, readings from the Bible and a 25 minute Bible talk, or sermon, explaining its relevance for our lives today. There is a time to chat over food and drink before or after the service.

Click here for more information about the different services.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Whatever you’re comfy in. Most of our regulars don’t really ‘dress up’ for church.

Q: What is a Christian?
A: A Christian is simply a person who has put their trust in Jesus. Knowing we need forgiveness because of sin, which separates every person from God, trusting in Jesus’ death on the cross means that we can come freely before God, accepted as his child and confident of his welcome and his willingness to help us. Please contact us if you have any questions, or you’d like to know more about Christianity.
