Seeing People Saved
Posted by Matt Keller 1 month ago.
Did you know that the last twenty years have seen a remarkable revival in bible-believing churches? So much so that the amount of people saved across our world in the last two decades surpasses the number of those saved in the Reformation, and may even rival the spread of the gospel in the first century!
It’s hard to imagine, for we live in a culture where Christianity is regularly rejected. However in many countries this is not the case; gospel work is growing steadily. For instance in 1990 there was not a single believer in Eritrea, whereas now there are over 150 bible-believing churches!
It’s helpful to be reminded that our God rules the whole earth. He is establishing a worldwide church despite language differences and cultural diversity. As we live in a multicultural area this is great news! People from other countries are far more receptive to the gospel than we might think. It’s exciting to see people from many different backgrounds gather with us each weekend, but wouldn’t it be great if there were even more?
One way we can reach more people from non-English speaking backgrounds is through our schools. Through Scripture classes we are seeing these kids come to Christ. As one teacher remarked “It’s a mission field in our own backyard!” Do you want to play a part in this gospel ministry?
